Rob Rich: The Talented Graphic Paint Designer at Performance Boat Center

When it comes to the world of performance boat design, Rob Rich is becoming a name that stands out. With his exceptional talent and passion for graphic paint design, Rob is making a significant impact on the industry. Currently serving as the head of the paint shop at Performance Boat Center, Rob's journey is a testament to his dedication and love for the industry. Rob's journey began in 2007 when he started working in construction under Anthony Smith of H.P. Mafia. Little did he know that this experience would lead him down an exciting path in the boating industry. In 2007, he was entrusted with the task of picking up and redoing a Nortech Powerboats in Fort Myers, Florida. This project sparked Rob's interest in the world of boats and set him on a course that would shape his career.

In 2009, Rob furthered his involvement in the boating community by helping out with SkaterFest, an annual event that celebrates high-performance boats here at Lake of the Ozarks. It was during this time that he delved into learning graphic design on his own, honing his skills and expanding his knowledge in the field. His passion and dedication to his craft were evident as he tirelessly worked to perfect his graphic design abilities.Recognizing Rob's talents, Performance Boat Center began utilizing his skills in 2010 for photography and promotional purposes. As his reputation grew, Rob officially joined the Performance Boat Center team in 2021, moving quickly into the role of the head of the paint shop. This move allowed him to fully immerse himself in his true passion—graphic paint design for high-performance boats.

Today, Rob is responsible for designing the captivating graphics that adorn a variety of boats at Performance Boat Center. His designs can be seen on Cigarette Boats, most new Sunsation Powerboats, and all the Performance Powerboats models. Over the years, Rob has had the opportunity to work on numerous projects, each one contributing to his ever-expanding portfolio.

Reflecting on his career, Rob recalls his first design ever, a Wright Performance 360, which marked the beginning of his creative journey. However, his favorite design thus far is the new Performance Powerboat 360 Carbon Edition, owned by Jeff Rambo. This project allowed Rob to showcase his artistic vision and attention to detail while working alongside Jeff and his son, resulting in a visually stunning masterpiece.

Outside of his professional life, Rob finds joy in his personal relationships. He has been with his girlfriend, Mandy Hall, for an impressive 28 years. Together, they have three children—Morgan, Devin, and Zach. Interestingly, Zach has also followed in his father's footsteps and is now part of the Performance Boat Center team, further solidifying the Rich family's influence in the boating industry.

Looking to the future, Rob aspires to be known for his designs, much like the renowned Mitcher T Custom Painting. He dreams of leaving a lasting legacy in the world of boat design and hopes to have the opportunity to paint a few boats himself. With his talent, dedication, and unwavering passion for his craft, there is no doubt that Rob Rich will continue to make waves in the high-performance boat industry for years to come
